Welcome to my Web site!

My name is Ric and I am retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years and 12 days. I rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7).  You may ask yourself, why the extra 12 days?  It is possible to retire on your 20 year anniversary, but you would be eligible for only 18 years of active duty for pay purposes until you went over 20 years of active duty.

I have served as a Squad leader, Platoon Leader, Motor Sergeant, Truckmaster and Unit First Sergeant.

My Awards and Decorations include: The Bronze Star Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal, The Army Commendation Medal (Fourth Oak Leaf Cluster (5 Awards)), The Army Achievement Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster (2 Awards)), Meritorious Unit Commendation (3rd Award), The Good Conduct Medal (Seventh Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 6 Service ("Campaigns" or "Battles") Stars, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Level), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm (Unit Citation), Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, Expert Driver Mechanic Badge, Recruiter Badge and Overseas Service Bar (6th Award (Combat Service for 6 months each)).

I have been stationed around the world during my career.  I have also met many wonderful people.
